June 08 NWTA Success Liverpool

North west academy sent 6 students to the recent Liverpool kyrougi competition, this was the 1st sport competition for for a while and would be in the home of some very seasons sport trainers, The club came away with 3 winners and 3 losers, Winners were Genna Maloney who won by attainting the required 12 points, in a tough close fight Jenna won 12-10. Shane Maloney was in top form demolishing his opponent in quick time running up a 7point lead in the 1st round, Martin Maloney took the 3rd Gold medal. Dean Carroll, Daniel Maloney and Andrew Cowan all performed well but lost their  fights, Genna Maloney was awarded best child Female of the Day.

 

April 08 Master Hudson appointed as Chairman of the UKTDC,                          United Kingdom Taekwondo development council

March 08                                                                                                     Master Hudson appointed Performance Director/ National poomsae coach to the Irish Taekwondo Union.

Master Hudson was appointed Performance Director and National team Coach by the executive committee of the Irish Taekwondo Union WTF on Thursday the 5th March 2008, his term of office will last for 3 years,

Nigel commented " It is my intention to develop Poomsae in Ireland in line with the aims and ambitions of the ITU with the full backing and support of the ITU executive.

 Following on from over 10 successfull years developing Poomsae in the UK where Master Hudson was responsible for developing the Poomsae structure in the UK to its present status which culminated in the medal winning successes at the recent European championships I am delighted to get a new challenge as we take Poomsae to a higher level with another WTF nation.

Master Hudson awarded best Judge award at the 2007 European Championships,                             Master Hudson was awarded this prestigious honour by the European Taekwondo  Union at the recent European championships in Antalya Turkey Dec 07.  This award was the 1st of its kind since the inception of the European championships in 1995.

Master Hudson would also assist the course presenters for at the ETU/WTF poomsae seminar as a member of the European Taekwondo unions technical committee,
